FAQs
WHAT CAN CLEARFLOW GEL FLOCCULANT PRODUCTS REMOVE FROM WATER?
The Clearflow PondGel removes soil particles such as clay and organic material. Other contaminants that may be attached to the particles include the algae growth nutrient phosphorus and heavy metals like lead and arsenic.
COULD APPLICATION OF THIS PRODUCT HARM PLANTS OR ANIMALS IN THE ENVIRONMENT?
Numerous scientific articles and research from two prestigious universities have concluded that Clearflow products are non-toxic and safe for the environment. PondGel won't suffocate fish or other aquatic animals, in contrast to cationic polymers.
The Clearflow product(s) provided by Clearflow have undergone Environment Canada-certified toxicity studies on fish (fathead minnow, rainbow trout), water fleas, and algae.
CAN I STORE THE PONDGEL AFTER IF I HAVEN’T USED IT ALL?
Yes, simply remove it and let it dry for approximately two to four hours, and then put it back in the resealable bag in which it was supplied.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN IT IS TIME TO REPLACE?
Clearflow PondGel is designed to only release when there is turbulent flow, therefore stagnant water will only result in a very limited discharge when the product swells after absorbing water.
Simply remove the diffuser after your
water is clean, leave it to dry for two to four hours, and then put it in a
sealed bag for subsequent treatments.
WHERE DOES THE PONDGEL GO IN MY POND?
To ensure results, the PONDGEL diffuser must be submerged in turbulent flowing water. Place in close proximity to waterfalls, pump discharge locations, or other areas where water energy is present, install the device using the mounting holes to a rock, stake, or other object. Avoid eddies and low-flow zones. Water that is still will prevent the product from working.
Testimonials
David FIn our 5th pond year, we usually battle green water in summer. Our usual methods (tint, barley, and UV light) helped until this year. Nothing worked, and I almost gave up, but a friend recommended Clearflow PondGel. I tried it in my trickle filter, and in just days, the water cleared up, even during hot, sunny weather.
